Vehicle to Grid trial successfully launched for sustainable business fleets – Climate Action

E.ON and Nissan have successfully deployed 20 vehicle-to-grid (V2G) chargers as part of a trial to demonstrate how electric vans and cars could play a role in supporting the UK grid and provide a profitable and sustainable solution for business fleets. The install at Nissan’s European Technical Centre in Cranfield is the first in a large-scale V2G trial co-funded by Innovate UK.

Ambassador’s wife dies from injuries sustained in Lebanon explosion

The wife of the Netherlands ambassador to Lebanon has died of injuries sustained in Tuesday’s explosion in Beirut. Hedwig Waltmans-Molier was serious injured in the blast on August 4, shortly after returning to Beirut following a holiday. She was in the family sitting room with her husband Jan when the explosion took place and was hit by ‘sheer bad luck’, the Dutch foreign affairs embassy said in a statement.
