New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the design for the state-of-the-art visitor centre in Niagara Falls State Park on April 23. Cuomo’s team said the visitor centre will improve the visitor experience, complementing nature and increasing the duration of visits to Niagara Falls State Park. Cuomo also said the Ralph C Wilson Jr Foundation has committed $8m in grant funding towards the construction of the facility, which is set to start in autumn 2021.

Completion of the project, but continuation of proper management of e-waste and waste batteries

Completion of the project, but continuation of proper management of e-waste and waste batteries

At ZEOS, we are proud for a reason! We successfully completed our five-year long Life project e-waste governance with the slogan E-cycle, which we implemented between 2016 and 2020.
The project was co-financed by the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning of the Republic of Slovenia and the European Commission and focused on users intensive and continuous informing about the need to properly dispose e-equipment and batteries when they are used up.

Fiber-based solutions offer more sustainable packaging options, including lower packaging weight creating less waste, package integrity and safety while building distinctive branding through packaging and offering diverse levels of protection. In addition, fiber-based packaging can reduce the overall impact on the environment, offering positive recyclability, repulpability, and at times compostable end-of-life scenarios. PurposeFil™ packaging products help meet multiple sustainability goals.

FAO’s Global Action on Pollination Services for Sustainable Agriculture | Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations

Pollination & human livelihoods Pollination is a keystone process in both human managed and natural terrestrial ecosystems. It is critical for food production and human livelihoods, and directly links wild ecosystems with agricultrual production systems. The vast majority of flowering plant species only produce seeds if animal pollination move pollen from the anthers to the stigmas of their flowers. Without this service, many interconnected species and processes functioning within an ecosystem would collapse. Highlights In Depth Understanding The more we know about pollinators, plant pollination services and the interactions between agro-ecosystems and pollination management, the more we can understand how to conserve them and manage them to maintain biodiversity, ensure ecosystem health and improve human livelihoods. Monitoring pollinator declines, monitoring pollinator deficits, assessing socio-economic values, pollinator identification and understanding plant/pollinator interactions expands the knowledge base. Managing Both wild and managed pollinator populations require habitat and forage resources in order to…
