Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARNA) today announced it has been designated Prime in the ISS ESG Corporate Rating, effective as of May 4, 2021. Companies are classified as Prime when their ESG performance exceeds the threshold criteria for companies in its sector, meaning they fulfill ambitious absolute performance requirements.
The ISS ESG Corporate Rating sets the industry standard for sustainable investing and is used by international institutional investors and financial service companies to inform their decisions. According to this rating, Arena tradeable bonds and shares will now qualify for responsible investment.

Circularity Gap Report 2020 – Insights – Circle Economy

The Circularity Gap Report 2020, launched in Davos, finds that the world is now only 8.6% circular. Of all the minerals, fossil fuels, metals and biomass that enter it each year just 8.6% are cycled back. This has fallen from 9.1% in the two years since our annual report was first launched in 2018. Today, for the first time ever, our global economy is consuming 100 billion tonnes of materials each year and circularity is stuck in reverse.

Daan had a great idea, Mark had a distinctive technology and I had the commercial insight to do something with the ethical problem. Together we founded Meatable. Climate change: Limiting global warming to 2.7°F would prevent the worst effects of sea level rise

This century’s sea level rise from climate change could be halved if nations meet the Paris Agreement goal of limiting global warming to 2.7°F (1.5°C), scientists have said.  Meeting this target — instead of reaching 5.4°F [3°C] of warming — might lower average global sea level rise from 9.8 inches (25 cm) down to 5.1 inches (13 cm).  London-led researchers modelled the effect of melting glaciers and ice sheets on sea level rise by 2100 under various possible warming scenarios.
