Alcoa Releases 2020 Sustainability Report | Alcoa Corporation

The Calgary Interprofessional Challenge (CIC) engages university students across disciplines in a novel 44-hour hackathon based on faculty and peer-to-peer interprofessional education. CIC uses short introductory talks on problem-solving in different faculties, a series of workshops, and expert mentorship from university faculty, relevant specialists, and entrepreneurs as its core curriculum.

The ECIS aims to foster the understanding of innovation and Cross  Innovation, i.e. with the Cultural Creative Industries (CCIs), to support growth, jobs, and sustainability. The Green Paper to this session focuses on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which altogether envision future economic progress that goes hand in hand with social justice as well as the active acknowledgement of planetary limits and appreciation of the earth system we all live in. However, it is only ten years to achieve these ambitious goals in time and hence, meet the urgent societal challenges.

The National Gas Company (NGC) has become the first organisation in Trinidad and Tobago to be registered as a member of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) community.  Joining the GRI network represents the latest of ‘first milestones’ in NGC’s strategy to build sustainability. The company is the first and remains the only state-owned enterprise to produce an annual sustainability report. From its first report, the NGC adopted GRI standards indicating its willingness to measure itself and perform against international standards.  The GRI network comprises over 500 large, small, private and public organisations from more than 70 countries. They work to jointly advance sustainability reporting across all regions of the world. The GRI community provides members with access to learning and knowledge-sharing opportunities that help improve the quality of sustainability reporting with the GRI Standards.
