Iowa Learning Farms to Host History-based Sustainable Agriculture Webinar

, Iowa Learning Farms to Host History-based Sustainable Agriculture Webinar, TheCircularEconomy.comIowa Learning Farms is “looking back to look ahead” through a webinar June 23 at noon that focuses on the history and progress of sustainability titled “Lessons Learned from the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture.”

Mark Rasmussen, director of the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture, will review the history of the Leopold Center. This history illustrates that many of the issues and challenges in agriculture that were points of contention when the Leopold Center was created are still with us today.

“Progress at times has been slow and demonstrates that sustainability is a continual journey rather than a set endpoint,” said Rasmussen. “New approaches to old problems are needed to keep Iowa agriculture vibrant.”
