Just days after Brookline, Massachusetts un-banned Styrofoam, to make takeout/delivery easier for restaurants to manage, the entire state of Maine has reversed a plastic bag ban. This week Maine Governor Janet Mills announced that the ban, which was supposed to start in April, will be postponed.
According to a report by Zero Waste Europe (ZWE) and Surfrider Foundation Europe (SFE), EU countries have fallen behind in phasing out single-use plastic bags and preventing plastic pollution. The report entitled Still Finding Excuses?
As the host for the COP26 this November, the UK is in the spotlight when it comes to reducing emissions.
